1) 8 Reales, ND (prior to 1914). 26.64 gms. Herrera-1256 (this piece). Crude Y.II. countermark applied to the obverse of a 1843-PTS LR Bolivia 8 Soles. Modern concoction probably produced sometime in the Late-19th Century, but could have been produced in the early years of the 20th Century. Lightly toned and quite interesting. Lightly cleaned.
2) 8 Reales, ND (prior to 1961). 26.98 gms. Asociacion Numimatica Espanola auction December 1961 Lot # 1476 (this piece). Crude Y.II. countermark applied to the obverse of a 1769-MoMF Mexico Pillar 8 Reales of Charles III.
3) 8 Reales, ND (prior to 1978). 26.44 gms. Almanzar Auction September 22, 1978 Lot # 2100 (this piece). Crude Y.II. coupled with crude Azores countermark all applied to a 1825-R Brazil 960 Reis which itself was overstruck on a Spanish Colonial 8 reales. A highly interesting concoction including everything a collector could ask for from this series. Holed and tooled.

4) 1/2 Real, ND (ca. 1950s). 1.56 gms. Very crude rendition of a Y.II. countermark applied to the obverse of an 1825-MoJM Mexico 1/2 Real. No genuine examples of this denomination are known exist, all that have been examined are modern concoctions. Holed and plugged. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS.
