RUSSIA. "End of the House of Romanov" Ruble, 1917. VERY FINE.
An extremely interesting and VERY RARE piece of propaganda, these issued utilized Nicholas II rubles and counterstamped them with an octagonal stamp proclaiming the end of the house of Romanov and the date, March 1917. Oftentimes, the stamp is encountered on the obverse, as a further rebuke of the deposed czar. Host coin: 1899, Bit-49; deeply toned, with a slight edge cut.
Estimate: $2000.00- $2500.00
