Norway - Set of 10, 25 and 50 Øre 1942, Nikkel munten, HAAKON VII 1905–1957 Issued by the exiled Norwegian government during World War II and struck in London.KM. 391-393After Germany invaded Norway in 1942 the Norwegian government had to flee to London. During their stay in England they issued three different nickel coin denominations, all of which are included in this lot. Almost all of these coins were melted down after the war ended. Only 9.238 50 Øre. 10.300 25 Øre and 9,667 10 Øre were saved from destruction, making this series very scarce and historically important.Original luster Almost UNC
