A Hellenistic or Roman lead seal or lead coin
Condition: About Very Fine, as in pictures.

Obverse: The bust of a young man to left, between the greek letters Ι and Φ.

Reverse: The forepart of a horse, running to right, above and below the greek letters Λ and Π.

Most probably the name of the owner was Φίλιππος (Philip), deriving from the four above letters: ΦΙ-Λ(Ι)Π(ΠΟΥ) = Φιλίππου (of Philip). And the meaning of this clearly greek name derives from the words φίλος+ἵππος (friend of horses).

Weight: 3.62 gr
Diameter: 12mm
