KUSHANO-SASANIAN: Vasu Deva, AV scyphate dinar (8.01g), Göbl-694, early posthumous issue circa mid-3rd century, king standing left, holding trident and sacrificing at altar with trident, swastika between feet, degraded Bactrian legend around // Shiva standing facing, in front of bull Nandi left, OhÞO (Shiva) to right, well struck with sharp details, EF. The Kushano-Sasanians established their rule in the northwestern Indian subcontinent (present-day Pakistan and Afghanistan), displacing the declining Kushans during the 3rd and 4th centuries. Their imitations of Vasu Deva's dinar became increasingly broad and barbarous, to the point that the Shiva and bull are no longer recognizable in the 4th century.

Estimate: 500-800 USD
