WESTERN LIAO (Qara Khitay): Daoist pendant tablet (charm) (20.87g), cf. Zeno-109899 (very similar), 31 x 62mm copper/brass; stylized Chinese characters together with various secret magic Daoist symbols (somewhat different selection on each side), popular during the Liao period (circa 9th-12th century or slightly later), rectangular hole for suspension at the top, wonderfully well preserved, VF to EF. Two different examples have been published by Zheng Yiwei (CCC-1:2654/55) and incorrectly assigned to the Tang dynasty.
