UMAYYAD: Anonymous, ca. 720s-740s, AE fals (1.94g), al-Juzjan, ND, A-J203, obverse text bism Allah / ja'iz, reverse text duriba bi'a- / -l-jûzjân; region and city located on the trade route between Marw and Balkh, apparently the first reported fals for the Umayyad period from this mint, much porosity on both sides, Very Good, RRR. The main city in the Juzjan region in the early Islamic period and before was Anbir, known from Hunnic and early Islamic silver coins.
