Good photographic plates of many specimen banknotes and a few coins produced by this Japanese puppet bank. Interestingly, this book is marked 'not for sale' on the inside back page and only the title pages are in Chinese, the body of text in the book is in Japanese, ex. H. F. Bowker Numismatic Library. Howard Franklin Bowker (1889-1970) was a numismatist and philatelist, collecting and specializing in Chinese coins, stamps and banknotes. He created the first bibliography of Western language publications on East Asian numismatics.
