Although this 2-book set is now 30 years old, it still is quite useful to the numismatist. All of the information concerning precious metal content, and weight is still completely valid. The prices, while outdated, can still be used to determine the keys in a series. All information about legends, monographs, and mint marks etc., is still the same as when this was published. The paper used is of higher quality, and noticeably whiter than that used in the yearly Krause versions of this book. The range of coin dates covered is from the mid-18th century to the late 20th century (1985), set of 2 books.
