A great book listing the many, many varieties of the very popular oval shaped Edo period Tenpo Tsuho coinage cast 1835-70. This type circulated for 35 years before production was discontinued during the Meiji Restoration after the introduction of the Japanese yen. Excellent rubbings throughout, ex. H. F.
