ILKHAN: Ghazan Mahmud, 1295-1304, LOT of 18 silver quarter dirhams (average weight just over 0.5g): A-2174F, including the mints of Astarabad, Bazar, Isfarayin, Khabushan, Nishapur and Sabzawar, but most are without legible mint, all appear to be undated or date off flan, many struck from dies intended for larger denominations; all are crudely struck, the lesser quality from the original hoard of unknown size, average Fine condition, most with adhesions, bent, or otherwise damaged; extremely rare denomination nonetheless! retail value at least $400; lot of 18 pieces.
