Sestertius 130-138, Æ 33 mm, 24.49 g. HADRIANVS – AVG COS III P P Laureate and draped bust l. Rev. ADVENTVI AVG MAVRETANIAE Hadrian, on l. togate, standing r., raising r. hand and holding roll in l.; in front of him, personification of Mauretania, wearing elephant headdress, sacrificing out of patera over altar and holding standard; beside altar, a victim. In exergue, S – C. C 66 var. (not laureate). BMC 1667 var. (bust r.). RIC 899 var. = RIC II, 1786 (this coin illustrated). Mazzini d. 66 (this coin).
