Migration of the German Tribes.
Pseudo-Imperial coinage. In name of Arcadius, solidus, uncertain mint circa 383, AV 22 mm, 4.32 g. D N ABCADI – VS PF AVG Rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust r. Rev. OMCOBOI – AAVG G T Constantinopolis, helmeted, seated facing on lion throne, holding long cross and shield inscribed IOI/IV/...; in exergue, OHO. For type, cf. RIC 70c.
Apparently unpublished, a very fascinating crude style. Insignificant marks on the
outer part of the flan on the reverse, otherwise extremely fine
