Portrait of Alexander II r., Alexeev signature on truncation / Emperor Alexander I, attired in a general's uniform, seated behind a draped table flourishing a pen and holding the decree on the establishment of the Academy which Grand Duke Nicholas Pavlovich (the future Nicholas I) presents to him. Standing behind the Grand Duke are Counts Opperman and Sivers, dressed in generals' uniforms as is Nicholas. A rare and important medal. Obverse dig behind head, and some hairlines and contact marks. Glossy birch brown. Extremely fine
