Βyzantine lead seal of Kyriakos Marchapsabos protospatharios (ca 11th/12th cent.)
Obverse: Bust of Mother of God facing, nimbate, wearing chiton and maphorion, orans, with Jesus Christ as a Child in medallion on her chest, also facial and nimbate, wearing chiton, the usual sigla, ΜΡ-Θ[ΟΥ] = Μήτηρ Θεοῦ (Mother of God), and Ο ΩΝ (the One who exists) for Christ, all within dotted fine border.
Reverse: Inscription in 6 lines between decorative patterns, +Κ(ΥΡΙ)ΕΒ(ΟΗ)Θ(ΕΙ)/ΤΩCΩΔΟΥΛ(Ω)/ΚΥΡΙΑΚΩ/Α´CΠΑΘ(ΑΡΙΩ)ΤΩ/ΜΑΡΧΑΨΑ/ΒΩ = Κύριε, βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Κυριακῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ τῷ Μαρχαψάβῳ (Lord, help your servant Kyriakos Marchapsabos the protospatharios), all within dotted border.
