In 1940 Great Britain was fighting for her freedom and gold Sovereigns were needed for Special Agents and Airmen shot down behind enermy lines. The Royal Mint and the Government secretly agreed to strike Sovereigns for those Agents and Servicemen. All Coins were dated 1925 with a special 'Highrim' to distinguish them from the normal issue.
