One of the characteristic but still unattributable Carian coins with strong technical affinities to the coinages of Posidion, Kamiros, and Lindos. The incuse pattern (a square divided into two oblong halves) is also known from these series. The lion type and the style point to a mint in Caria proper rather than to one of the major island mints.
