British India, 1938, King George VI, 1000 Rupees, Karachi Circle, Signed by J.B. Taylor, A Prefix, S. No. A4 057532, (KJ &RR # 4.8.1D), staple holes at issue, minor repairs, bank seals on the reverse, graded by PMG as 30 Very Fine, Extremely Rare.
Note: This is a truly handsome banknote with a large size and enormous buying power. The Karachi circle is the rarest for this denomination in this King George VI series. Some minor stains are visible on both sides along with a small area of with signs of restoration. Only two other specimens in higher grades are known as per the census making this a rare opportunity for advanced collectors.
