KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 4.36 g, 12 h), struck in the name of Alexander III, Lampsakos, 301-296. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; in field to left, dolphin swimming to left above forepart of a lion to left; below throne, long torch. Price 1438. Thompson 35 var (same symbols but with a Lysimachos legend). Rare. Clear and attractive. Good very fine.
