Anne gold 5 Guineas 1705 MS61 NGC, KM520.2, S-3560. The second 5 Guineas issued during Anne's reign, featuring the slimmer pre-Union shields to the reverse. A fully struck example whose Mint State condition is bound to inspire anybody fortunate enough to admire this exquisite specimen, one of the absolute finest yet certified across both PCGS and NGC. The representative's uncirculated condition is without question, inspection under good light revealing a pervasive sun-gold aura that flashes across the fields with marvelous intensity, bathing Anne's portrait and the reverse shield motif in warm mint brilliance. Some handling is wholly accepted for a coin of this age and type, and yet, it must be said that the aesthetic appeal is sound for the grade, the obverse seeing only faint and small instances thereof, a feature which similarly carries to the reverse with the exception of only a single stray and fairly inconsequential hairline mark crossing through the French shield. In every respect, this 5 Guineas is capable of bestowing a lifetime of admiration and appreciation to its future owner, and we would consider this lucky collector very fortunate indeed.
