Head of Athena to right, wearing earring, necklace and crested Attic helmet / Owl standing facing, wings spread; olive sprig and crescent to upper left, A-Θ-E around; all within incuse square. Marked RR (Robert Ready) on the edge. Rare. Ex. Classical Numismatic Group, Electronic Auction 365, lot 574. December 16th, 2015. . This is an exact copy of the original specimen which lies in the British Museum. The museum hired Robert Ready to make replicas on the most famous ancient coins in late 1850s. The coins were made for educational and exhibition purposes, encouraging people to appreciate the wonders of ancient numismatic art.
