Maximinus Daia (305-313) - AE Follis (Antioch, 7.12 g) - MAXIMINVS NOB CAES Helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, head left, spear over shoulder and holding shield, decorated with two horseman advancing right holding standards above kneeing captives, gorgoneion on breast / SOLI INVICTAE Sol in facing quadriga, raising hand and holding globe, B above baseline and ANT in ex. (RIC --, cf. 144, Galerius Augustus) - dark patina, VF/XF, RRR. RIC shows us only for Galerius a comparable Follis with rev. legend SOLI INVICTAE. One of the most spectacular bust types in roman coinage.
