Aelia Verina (wife of Leo I, c. 468-473) - AE20 (Constantinople, 3.58 g) - AEL VERINA AVG Pearl-diademed and draped bust right / SALVS REI PVBLICAE Victoria seated right, supporting on a low column a shield inscribed with Christogram (RIC 655 / LRBC 2253) - rare, somewhat smoothed, otherwise good VF (ex Naville 11, 307). This is the only portrait coin of Verina, wife of Leo I in bronze and very rare indeed.
