SCARCER VARIETY OF THE VIRTVS PROBI AVG LEGEND WHERE THE ENEMY'S LEGS ARE STRETCHED (INSTEAD OF KNEALING, AS USUAL) AND THERE IS NO EXERGUAL LINE (VIR-2 variant desribed by Philippe GYSEN in his article 'Nouvelles données concernant l'atelier de Serdica sous le règne de Probus', in Revue belge de numismatique, CXLVI, Bruxelles, 2000

Obverse: Radiate, cuirassed and helmeted bust left, holding spear and shield, legend:
IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG;

Reverse: Emperor galloping right, spearing enemy whose shield lies beneath horse, legend:
VIRTVS PROBI AVG; In exergue KA•Γ•;

Silver, diameter 21-22 mm, weight 3,88 g, axis 12 h.
