Kingdom of Macedon, Alexander III 'the Great' AV Stater. Babylon(?), circa 325-323 BC. Head of Athena to right, wearing triple-crested Corinthian helmet decorated with serpent, pendant earring and necklace / Nike standing to left, holding wreath and stylis; ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ to right, BAΣIΛEΩΣ to left, monogram under left wing. Apparently unpublished, cf. Gorny & Mosch 261, lot 198 for a similar style piece. 8.60g, 18mm, 3h.
