(Habich I, 1, 848; Haller 306), a well patinated cast and probably near contemporary (though obverse shows signs of being cast from a pierced specimen), obverse with tooled image and field, reverse somewhat rough, very fine and very rare

Reformation theologian Zwingli served as a Chaplain in the Second Kappel War and was killed on 11 October 1531. The Catholic victors quartered and burned his corpse and scattered his ashes.
