The Milton Collection, George V, East African Currency Board, Specimen set of coins for the Florin System (100 cents = 1 Florin), 1920, Heaton mint, by Bertram MacKennal and Kruger Gray, comprising AR two-shillings/florin, shilling/50-cents and [sixpence]/ 25-cents, each crowned bust of George V left, rev. lion to r., above value and date; cupro-nickel 10-cents, 5-cents and cent, crown over central piercing, rev. value over and crossed elephant tusks around piercing (KM PS1), in velvet-lined maroon / purple fitted leather case of issue, believed 20-30 specimen coins struck, not all of which issued in sets, the silver with black peripheral tone and patchy tone to reverses, 10-cents with lustre though streaky on obverse, 5-cents and cent with virtually full lustre, an excessively rare set (6)
