The note in grey-brown featuring an industrial worker at right. During this period the Reichskommissariat Ukraine was the occupying government and the karbowanez notes replaced the until then used Russian ruble at par and circulated between 1942 and 1945, it's value was based on the Reichsmark at an exchange rate of 10 Karbowanez = 1 Reichsmark
