Five Pounds Peppiatt White note London branch dated 28 April 1945 the date on which Benitto Mussolini was executed Serial no. J05 045963, VF or better with signs of slight creasing through the centre of the note with staining on the reverse bottom right hand corner from mount and stamped with numbers 2201 in top left in line with vignette otherwise a well presented and clear note. an example of a Military Payment Note printed on the heavier Thick Paper with incorporation of Metal thread with new prefix numbering system showing five figures in the watermark instead of the previous four. Few examples in grade EF or higher have appeared with us in the present year.
