EARLY SKYTHIANS. Anonymous. Late 2nd-mid 1st century BC. AR Drachm (16x15mm, 2.34 g, 12h). Imitation of an Indo-Greek square module drachm of Baktria. Helmeted, diademed, and draped bust right; possible tamgha to right; traces of pseudo-legend around / Highly schematized Athena Alkidemos advancing left; monogram to left; pseudo-monogram to right; traces of pseudo-legend around. Cf. Senior A19 (for imitations of Eukratides types). Lightly toned, reverse double struck. VF.
