Republic Yuan Shih-kai "Plumed Hat" Dollar Year 3 (1914) MS62+ NGC Tientsin mint, KM-Y322, L&M-858, Kann-642. A type not often encountered with so frosty and crisp an appearance, a strong underlying backlight giving a warm and slightly glassy finish to the surfaces, a feature which quickly makes its "plus" designation fully understandable. Quite nearly possessing the appeal of a finer coin, and an incredibly handsome type specimen.
