Republic Tsao Kun Dollar ND (1923) MS61 NGC, Tientsin mint, KM-X1220, L&M-959, Kann-678, WS-0105. Military uniform variety. Produced during the short presidency of Tsao Kun before General Feng Yuxiang's coup in 1924. A strikingly bright and lustrous selection for its seemingly modest Mint State grade, a mottling of old album tone along the edges framing a semi-reflective flash in the fields that reveals plentiful surface die polish. Though bound in its designation by some light handling, the offering on the whole presents a highly engaging appearance.
