Andronikos Doukas, sebastos, circa mid 12th century. Seal (Lead, 22 mm, 8.06 g, 11 h). Bust of St. Michael, nimbate, facing, holding trefoil scepter in his right hand and globus cruciger in his left. Rev. +Δ૪KAV / CЄRACTON / ANΔPONI/KON MЄ C/KЄΠOIC ("May you protect me, Andronikos Doukas") in five lines with decoration below. Apparently unpublished, but cf. Wassiliou-Seibt, Corpus I, 655b var. (same legend, but Michael standing). Very fine.
