ISLAMIC, Mongols. Great Khans. temp. Ögedei, AH 624-639 / AD 1227-1241. Dinar (Gold, 26 mm, 4.33 g, 2 h), anonymous type, Bukhara, circa AH 617-637 = AD 1220-1240. Album B1967. Rare and unusually well struck. Minor flan faults and with an edge crack, otherwise, good very fine.


A very interesting anonymous dinar that could have been struck right before the death of the greatest of all Khans, Chingiz Khan.
