INDIA, Medieval. Southern India. 15th-17th centuries. AE (Bronze, 18 mm, 6.47 g). Warrior running left, within dotted border. Rev. Prominent dagger, flanked by sun and moon; all within circular border. Apparently unpublished and of great interest. Very fine.

Exactly when this enigmatic issue was produced is currently unclear, but as the running warrior bears some resemblance to Hoysala and Vijayanagar coins, it is likely a post-Vijayanagar issue.
