THESSALY, Thessalian League. Circa 44-40 BC. Stater (Silver, 24 mm, 6.22 g, 1 h), Polyxenos and Eukolos, magistrates. Head of Zeus to right, wearing oak wreath. Rev. ΘEΣΣA/ΛΩN - ΠΟΛYΞENO[Y] - EYKOΛO[Y] Athena Itonia striding right, hurling spear with her right hand and holding shield on her left arm. BCD Thessaly I 1390. BCD Thessaly II 878.2. Lightly toned and well centered. Very fine.
