PHRYGIA. Cadi. Claudius, 41-54. Assarion (Bronze, 18 mm, 4.58 g, 12 h), Demetrios Artemas, magistrate (stephanophoros?). ΚΛΑΥΔΙΟϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ Laureate head of Claudius to right. Rev. ЄΠΙ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ / ΑΡΤЄΜΑ - ΚΑΔΟΗΝⲰΝ Zeus standing front, head to left, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; in field to left, monogram (of 'stephanophoros'?). RPC I 3062. A lovely coin with a beautiful portrait. Patina stripped, otherwise, good very fine.
