Alexius III. 1195-1203. BI aspron trachy (25.8 mm, 2.11 g, 6 h). Constantinople mint. uncertain and illegible, Nimbate, beardless bust of Christ facing, wearing pallium andcolobium; raising hand in benediction and holding scroll; IC ? XC in fields. / uncertain and illegible, Alexius on left and St. Constantine, bearded and nimbate on right; both wearing crown, divitsion and loros, both standing facing, holding between them globus cruciger both hold a labarum in outer hand. SBCV 2011-2013. VF for type, obverse "muddled" by double-strike, but most all features are clear; reverse with no legible legend - old copper & darker brown patina.
