A beautifully detailed Roman-Egyptian alabaster fragment, ca. 1st - 3rd Century A.D.. It is 3-7/8? high and depicts the nicely detailed head of a youth attached to a segment that could represent the scales of a large serpent. The stone is translucent and has good mineral deposits. Mounted on stand.
