A lovely Gandharan stucco head from the Indus Valley, ca. 4th - 5th Century A.D.. This superbly detailed sculpture is 3? high, is masterfully carved from stucco and depicts a man with wavy hair. His eyes are deep-set and topped with prominent brows. This sculpture clearly shows the Greek stylistic influence on this region. In excellent condition, strong mineral deposits, mounted on stand.
