A choice Gandharan stucco head from the Indus Valley, ca. 4th - 5th Century A.D.. This large example is 4-3/4? high and portrays a Bodhisattva. He is adorned with an ornate, gem-studded headdress that hold his curled coif framing the face. In excellent condition, retaining traces of red pigment typical of the Hadda types. Mounted on stand.
