EPEIROS, Federal coinage of the Epirote Republic. Circa 234/3-168 BC. Drachm (Silver, 20 mm, 4.60 g, 11 h), Dodona, struck under the magistrate Derdas. ΔEPΔA Head of Zeus of Dodona to right, wearing wreath of oak leaves; below head, monogram of ΕΚ. Rev. ΑΠΕΙ - ΡΩΤΑΝ Eagle with closed wings standing right on thunderbolt; all within oak wreath. BMC 25. Franke Group II, 181a (V102a/R128a). SNG Copenhagen 119. Nicely toned. Lightly struck, with a reverse with some flatness and struck from a worn die, otherwise, good very fine.
