KINGS OF LYDIA. Alyattes II to Kroisos, circa 610-546 BC. Trite (Electrum, 14 mm, 4.73 g), Sardes. Head of lion to right, with open jaws and with a sun and rays on its forehead. Rev. Two incuse squares. SNG Kayhan 1013. SNG von Aulock 2868-9. Weidauer 86-89. Attractive and sharply struck. A few bangs and marks, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
