CILICIA. Tarsos. Tarkumuwa (Datames) (?), Satrap of Cilicia and Cappadocia, 384-361/0 BC. Third stater (Silver, 14 mm, 3.25 g, 9 h), c. . Female head facing (Arethusa), turned slightly to left and wearing pendant earrings and pearl necklace; to right, fish swimming downwards. Rev. KLK Helmeted and bearded male head (Ares?) to left. Casabonne series 2-3. SNG BN 301-2. Very rare denomination for the series. Lightly toned and quite attractive. Light scratches and marks, otherwise, very fine.
