KINGS OF ARMENIA. Tigranes the Younger, 77/6-66 BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 18 mm, 5.96 g, 12 h), uncertain mint, perhaps Artaxata, c. 74-71/0 BC. Diademed and draped bust of Tigranes the Younger to right, wearing five-pointed tiara decorated with uncertain decoration. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ TIΓPANOY Nike advancing left, holding wreath in extended right hand. Cf. Kovacs 158. Dark green patina with sandy overtones. Very fine.
