LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 330-290 BC. Nomos or Didrachm (Silver, 20 mm, 7.92 g, 4 h). Head of Demeter to left, wearing grain wreath, triple-pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. ΜΕΤΑ Ear of barley with leaf to left; above leaf, club; below leaf, ΔΙ. HN III . Johnston Class C, 1.10 (same dies). SNG ANS 488 (same obverse die). Lightly toned. A few minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
