Real, 5.29g, Antwerp, s.d., beaded oval countermark with lion of Holland, crowned bust right, legend starts at 7 o'clock, PHS. D. G. HISP Z REX. DVX. BRA., rev. crowned shield surrounded by the collar of the Golden Fleece, DOMINVS. MI HI. ADIVTOR hand (Delm.770 B).
In 1573, by order of the states of Holland and Zeeland, coins were struck with a countermark raising their value by an eighth as a war contribution.

Very rare, tiny marks on edge, light scratches, very nice portrait, about extremely fine.
