Eagle standing left on cactus, grasping snake in beak and right talon; all atop laurel and oak wreath / Liberty cap with glory of rays in background. Hubbard & O'Harrow type I; BW 212.9H; Calicó 2148; KM 382.1; Friedberg 63. Lightly toned, lustrous, minimal circulation and adjustment marks. Choice EF. Rare. The only year of issue for the popular Hookneck type in gold.
