KINGS of THRACE, Macedonian. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AV Stater (18mm, 8.61 g, 5h). Uncertain mint. 3rd century BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛYΣIMAXOY, Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; monogram to inner left. Thompson –; Müller 561; cf. HGC 3, 1743 (for type). Lightly toned, some small marks, tiny die break on obverse, a few light scratches on reverse. Good VF. Very rare, this is the only example in CoinArchives, none in ANS photofile.
