IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / FORVM TRAIAN in exergue, Arcus Traiani (triumphal entrance) of the Forum Traiani: hexastyle building façade; surmounted by statue of facing chariot drawn by four horses between two figures flanking trophy on either side; four statues within arches below. RIC II 255 var. (bust type); Beckmann, Early, Group I, 20 (dies a18/F7); Woytek 403f1 (same dies as illustration); Strack 207β; Calicó 1030 (same dies as illustration); BMCRE 510; BN 658 (same obv. die); Adda 94 (same dies); Biaggi 492 (same dies); Jameson 92 (same dies); Mazzini –.
